Daszkal Bolton LLP to Sponsor FAU 2010 Business Plan Competition

Boca Raton, FL - February 8, 2010 - Daszkal Bolton LLP, the leading certified public accounting firm serving South Florida, announced they will be sponsoring  Florida Atlantic University’s 2010 FAU Business Plan Competition. The competition provides an opportunity for participants (from students to current business leaders) to come together and test their business ideas. Teams may submit an innovative business plan in one of two categories: the pre-revenue track and the revenue track.

A screening committee made up of FAU faculty and South Florida business leaders will narrow business plan submissions to a total of 16 business plans to compete in the final-round event.  Teams participating in the competition will have the opportunity to meet and network with experienced venture capital principals, early-stage angel investors, successful entrepreneurs and senior business leaders who will serve as judges for the competition.

Competition highlights include: 

  • Real-world opportunities to learn what is required to successfully launch a new business venture
  • A chance to receive mentoring and feedback from investors and experienced entrepreneurs
  • Prizes valued at more than $65,000
